A 37-year-old Jordanian, who was parasailing in the Red Sea on Friday night, suffered an incredibly unlikely shark bite.
The footage captured the moment a shark jumped out of the water and grabbed his foot, causing serious injuries.
Man rushed to Prince Hashem military hospital, reports AU News, with doctors operating on his right foot.
He is reported to have severed several tendons and broken several bones, as well as muscles torn from the bite.

Mohammad Qatawneh, of the Aqaba International Diving Center, said local media attacks by sharks in the Gulf of Aqaba are rare.

“In Karak, for example, there are snakes and scorpions, but in the end, they are not dangerous enough to scare people away.
“I have been diving for 20 years and this is the first time I have heard of a shark attack.

Mohammed Khalil Al Zabada, College of Marine Sciences, said the presence of sharks near the coast of Aqaba is very rare.
Nayef Al Bakhit, head of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, said a committee had been formed to investigate the attack and that it “will issue a detailed statement on what happened as soon as possible. that they will have completed the investigation ”.
